Hey guys,
Social media can be a powerful tool for building brand awareness, connecting with potential clients, and sharing expertise, but it also requires a thoughtful approach. This note is where we decide if and how V L Decruz & Co. will use social media professionally.
Purpose:
- To determine which (if any) social media platforms align with our Brand and reach our 20.1 - Ideal Client-Profile.
- To define our goals for using social media (e.g., awareness, engagement, traffic).
- To establish clear guidelines for content, tone, and activity.
- To assign responsibility for managing our social media presence.
How to Use This Note:
- Evaluate Platforms: Consider platforms like LinkedIn (professional networking), Facebook (broader reach), Instagram (visuals), Twitter (updates). Which fit best?
- Define Goals & Content: Brainstorm why we'd use social media and what kind of content we'd share.
- Discuss Strategy & Risks: Talk about the time commitment, potential benefits, and risks (e.g., negative comments, Bar Council advertising rules) in Discord.
- Document Approach: Finalize our strategy (even if it's "We won't actively use social media now") and guidelines here.
Developing Our Social Media Approach
Let's consider these key points:

| Tone & Engagement | Should align with our Brand Tone. How (and if) will we respond to comments or messages? Need to be mindful of confidentiality and giving legal advice online. |
| Guidelines & Compliance | What rules do we need internally? (e.g., Who approves posts? What topics are off-limits?). Must comply with Bar Council advertising and publicity rules. |
| Responsibility | Who will be responsible for creating content, posting, and monitoring our chosen platform(s)? What's the expected time commitment? |
